Missing criteria? We will close them — for real

Press, awards, memberships, judging and speaking — each action closes a specific USCIS criterion and is documented so an officer will count it. We work with our clients and with clients of other attorneys.

PR for a petition is not advertising. It is recognition you can prove: real outlets, real competitions, real experts — and a document under every fact.

What we do

Most strong professionals have achievements; they do not have evidence in the form USCIS reads. The work is known in the field, but independent outlets have not written about it; the person was invited to a jury, but no confirmation remains; there were prizes, but they were internal. PR services close that gap — not by inventing merit, but by making existing merit visible and documented. Below — how this differs from ordinary PR, and the line we will not cross.

Why ordinary PR does not help a petition?

PR agencies measure reach. An officer measures something else: independence of the outlet, its audience, an author and a date, and whether the subject is you or your company. An advertorial without editorial control, a release on a site with no readers, an interview in an outlet that exists for such interviews — at best it does not count, at worst it draws an RFE about “purchased” recognition. We choose tools from the criterion, not from a media plan.

What does an officer count?

Material about you in outlets with an editorial desk and a verifiable audience. Awards with open criteria and a known jury. Memberships selected on achievement. Judging with work actually done, not an invitation. And a less obvious layer: recognition has to look natural — five pieces in a month before filing read as preparation for a petition; the same five over a year read as a career. That is why we plan a PR program in months, not weeks.

Who needs PR, and who does not?

A profile with one or two closed criteria is the main case: PR adds what is missing and strengthens the second stage of review. A profile with no criterion at all will not be saved by PR — we say so at the consultation. A strong profile sometimes needs only documentation: mastheads, audiences, contest rules, letters on judging — that is our work too.
